Taste of Entertainment: Groveland Hotel/Aroma Tavern

Hit It! The 49er Festival is nearly here and the Main Stage is where the action is. This year, The Groveland Hotel / Aroma Tavern are sponsoring the Main Stage line-up, headlined by Leilani & The Distractions, and featuring Yosemite Switchback, the Pine Cone Performers, raffle prize draws, the Live Auction, Olympics-style awards ceremonies for the Safe Shooting Games, and more. As always, there will be plenty of room for rocking out or relaxing under the sunshades at the Main Stage.

But that’s not all! The recently-rebranded Aroma Tavern will be at the Festival featuring two delicious Tastes of Tuolumne. Chef de Cuisine Jacob Cordova has spent years perfecting his Mexican Shrimp Cocktail Shooter and once you taste one, you’ll agree that it is indeed the perfect shot. The second and third ones are even better!

If you’re in the mood for a little Indian, Chef Jacob has that part of the world covered too, with his Chicken 65. Haven’t heard of Chicken 65? Google it, and you’ll see it is a popular South Indian chicken appetizer made by deep frying marinated chicken with curry leaves and green chilies. Just a $1 Taste ticket will get you one of Chef Jacob’s Chicken 65 “lollipops”...easy to eat and oh so very yummy!

Try Chef’s new seasonal menu at Aroma Tavern and his Tastes of Tuolumne at the Festival. Don’t forget to stop by The Groveland Hotel/Aroma Tavern on Friday, September 20 between 5-7 pm for a no-host Welcome Home Meet-and-Greet with Sagen Maddalena to hear about her Olympic experience in Paris.
