The United States Post Office doesn't have a monopoly on the well-known 'neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow, or dark of night..." According to the person who nominated Steve Harvey and John Keller, their commitment to the Pine Mountain Lake community is much the same.
And who would know better than Carrie Harvey who nominated her husband, Steve, and his working buddy, John Keller? "They're out at 4 a.m. to shovel snow so Pine Mountain residents can be safe on the roads and they're working after 5 p.m. if there is an issue or problem that needs to be solved. They're ready and eager to do what is needed."
Joe Powell announced the winners, proudly, after the entire Maintenance Department gathered to enjoy a Rock It Taco catered lunch at the Lake Lodge. "I'm proud of all of you," said Joe, "but today we're here to honor two of you who have been nominated for being Rock Stars for bringing to our community, and your jobs, efforts that are above and beyond."
Bob Turney, Yosemite Chamber Board Member and sponsor of the Rock Star Program, summed it all up when he said, "I'm so glad to see these two men be nominated and win for the months of March and April. They're great regular guys who love this community and are more than willing to do what it takes to get the job done. They're the definition of a Rock Star."
Congratulations gentlemen and thank you!
