Scott Sobczak and Alexandra Howard are the new owners of the NAPA Auto Parts store in Big Oak Flat, now named Pine Mountain Auto Supply. In 2020 Scott and Alex got engaged in Yosemite and moved full-time to Groveland to be with family. Scott's varied interests have taken him all over the country, especially during his time playing minor league baseball. His love of flying planes and racing stock cars makes owning an auto parts store a natural fit.
As the sole operator, Scott will use his extensive retail experience working for Bose Corporation to make some upgrades to the shop along with providing the services the community has come to expect. Pine Mountain Auto is a site for large battery recycling, hydraulic hose repair, tire chain purchase, and general auto care essentials. In 2021, they plan to add a larger selection of specialty parts, expand the store to include more inventory space, and offer weekend hours.
