On January 6, Stephen (Steve) A. Griefer raised his right hand, swore to uphold the constitutions of the United States and the State of California, and picked up the baton to represent southern Tuolumne County (District 4) on the Board of Supervisors. Griefer isn’t a stranger to upholding the law of the land. Though his responsibilities as a county elected official are broader with deeper local impact compared with his career as a California Highway Patrol officer, both jobs require an oath to serve and protect.
When asked for a comment for this article, Supervisor Griefer simply sent a photo of his official certificate declaring him a County Supervisor. He knows what he signed up for. ‘Nuff said.
Supervisor Griefer’s first Town Hall meeting will be held Wednesday, January 22 at 5:00 pm at the Groveland Resilience Center.
