Casablanca: Here's Looking at You, Groveland

A Memorable Night of Food, Drink, Music, Games, and Prizes

Groveland rocks to the sounds of the Lack Family Band at Southside's Casablanca night.

The Resilience Center sparkled on Friday and Saturday, November 8 and 9, for the Southside Community Connections (SCC) Fall fundraiser: Casablanca: Here’s Looking at You, Groveland. Guests enjoyed VIP treatment from start to finish, and it was a wonderful gathering filled with great food, music, prizes, and lively spirits. A huge thank-you goes out to everyone who contributed to the success of this large-scale event, which took months of preparation and dedication from our team and community. To the SCC staff, volunteers, Board members, donors, and community members: your efforts made this night unforgettable. Thank you for your incredible support!

Major Raffle Prizes & Generous Donors

Special thanks to our Fundraising Director, Linda Sue Sarratt, for her exceptional work; Kelly

Sexton for the car donation won by Dorothy Rosenbaum; Syd and Rich Robenseifner for

donating a Mexico timeshare, won by Andrew Hughan; and Marsha and Carl White for the

Hawaii timeshare, won by Sharon Newell. Your generosity truly elevated the evening’s

excitement.

Sponsors and Partners

Our gold-level sponsors, Chicken Ranch Casino Resort and Mechanics Bank, helped bring

special touches to the event. Additionally, we are grateful for media support from Yosemite

Express, Groveland Chamber of Commerce, Tioga High School, and Sierra Rep Theater for

spreading the word and boosting attendance.

Entertainment & Catering

The evening’s entertainment included Doug Earley on sax, who set the mood with smooth jazz, while the Lack Family Band kept everyone dancing. Perfect Day Catering provided a fantastic meal, complemented by stunning charcuterie boards from Karen and Nate Awe.
