Bounce Away in the Kids Adventure Zone

This year’s 49er Festival Kids Adventure Zone will be one for the record books. Thanks to co-sponsors First Light Resorts and Mechanics Bank, we’re getting more creative and having more fun planning for the kids’ day out.

If anybody knows how to do Family-Friendly, it’s First Light Resorts. Owners and operators of Rush Creek Lodge and Evergreen Lodge, and operators of the new Firefall Ranch Resort, this team thrives on Family Fun. A stay at Evergreen Lodge is like glamping in the wilderness, only better, and Rush Creek Lodge is legendary for its nightly S’mores around the campfire, zip lines, and the best indoor climbing course! Did we say Dog-Friendly? Firefall Ranch loves your family and your furry friends and their expansive property is laced with trails suitable for peds and paws.

Townies know that Mechanics Bank hosts the annual Toys-for-Tots drive, with all donated gifts going to our local children. That’s not all Mechanics does for kids…they offer a variety of bank accounts designed for kids of different ages, including starter checking accounts for teens. And don’t forget about the free piggy bank when you open a kids account!  Let Mechanics help you get your kids started as smart money managers.

With all this kid stuff going on at First Light Resorts and Mechanics Bank, and their continued support of community events like the 49er Festival, the Kids Adventure Zone is going to be a blast and a splash. We’re bringing in an even bigger bounce than last year and be prepared to get wet, because this one’s got water!

Dizzy Chickens train rides will be back to take your young’uns around the Festival for just $8 a ride. There will also be a Face Painter and fun games for the kiddies. And to top it off, we’re launching the Safe Shooting Games for ages 8 - 14, where registered participants will compete in four events: water guns, marshmallow guns, NERF guns, and Paintball (ages 11-14 only). See Safe Shooting Games article and/or yosemitechamber.org/49er-festival for more information about registering your child for an event.
