About the Art: Trail Riding

Trail riding in the Stanislaus National Forest and Yosemite National Park is growing in popularity as our local trail system grows. The views and the rewards are endless.

Artists Christina and David Wilkinson used David's original photography overlaid with Christina's whimsical illustrations to celebrate the beauty of riding bikes on the many paved trails in Yosemite Valley and miles of groomed wilderness trails throughout the area.

Groveland Trail Heads mountain bicycling club, established in January, 2013 is an educational association, non-profit 501c(3) Chapter of the International Mountain Bicycling Association(IMBA)whose mission is to create, enhance and preserve great trail experiences for all trail users. Groveland Trail Heads is partnering with the Stanislaus National Forest’s Groveland Ranger District to develop a public use, mountain bike specific trail system as well as developing more multi use trails in and around Groveland, CA and Southern Tuolumne County.

Groveland Community Services District/Parks & Recreation has received grant funding and pursues additional funding to develop multi-use trails for non-motorized vehicles connecting downtown Groveland with Big Oak Flat, Pine Mountain Lake, the Groveland Resilience Center, and the Groveland Ballpark.
